With Myrna holding his hand, Alan passed away from brain cancer on April 19, 2019, at 46 years of age. Best friend and loving husband of Myrna Chan for 23 years. Extremely proud dad of Riley and Kasey. Cherished son of Raymond and Jane Scoboria, and caring brother of Michael. Dear son-in-law of Ricky and Katherine Chan, close brother-in-law to Mabel (Dave) Desrosiers, Lindy (Art) Chan Harrison, and Patrick (Lena) Chan. He will be sadly missed by his two nieces and three nephews. Alan enjoyed his many years as a university professor and clinical psychologist. His students and colleagues around the world will miss his leadership and mentorship. He was a "foodie", and was keen to try new restaurants; he treasured family vacations; and was passionate about music of all kinds.

Cremation has taken place. Visiting Saturday, April 27, 2019 3-5pm and 7-9pm and Sunday April 28 at 10:30am followed by a Memorial Service to celebrate Alan’s life at 11:30am, with luncheon to follow at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
