Earl Alton Schulthies

Passed away peacefully on April 15, 2019 at 98 years of age. Reunited with his beloved Bessie. Father of Beth Lapierre and husband Jack of London; and Earl and wife Susanne. Grandfather and Pop of Jennifer, Pamela, Jacqueline, Claire and Christopher. Great Grandfather of Liam, Sophie and Emmet. Uncle of Barbara MacRae. Predeceased by his parents Tinney and Mary Schulthies.

Thank you to the Staff of Windsor Regional Hospital Ouellette Campus, St. Elizabeth’s Health Care, the Staff of The Shoreview at Riverside, and his Kennedy Drive neighbours.

Earl was a Veteran of the Canadian Postal Corp and a retiree from Canada Post where he held various positions from mail sorter on the trains, to Public Relations Officer and Personnel Manager. He was awarded the rank of Knight of the French National Order of the Legion of Honor for his contribution to the liberation of France; as well as the Queen’s Silver Jubilee Medal.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial visiting Wednesday 7-9 p.m. Memorial service under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran’s Memorial Service Committee Thursday 10:00 a.m. at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841.
