Obituary for Giuseppe (Joe) Di Nardo

Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at 68 years of age. Beloved husband of Josephine (nee Valente) for 44 years. Loving father of Marisa (Dan) Rawlins, Sophia (Paul) LeBlanc and Anita (Joe) Panaccione. Cherished Nonno of Miranda, Natasha, Vincent, Vanessa, Luca and Enzo. Beloved son of Assunta and the late Antonio Di Nardo. Dear brother of Anna Maria (the late Vittorio) D’Angelo, Donato (Antoinette) Di Nardo, Lucia (Gino) D’Angelo, Mario (Maria) Di Nardo, Bartolomeo (Patrizia) Di Nardo, Ada (Donato) Cafarelli and the late baby Donato. Dear brother in law to Lidia (Antonio) Mosaico, Dorina (Rocco) DeThomasis, Claudio (the late Mary) Valente and Anna (Tony) Di Bartolomeo. Joe will be sadly missed by his extended family and many dear friends.

Joe retired from Chrysler Canada after 34 years of service and dedicated his life to ensuring his family had everything they needed. He enjoyed playing cards with friends at the Verdi Club and having family dinners.

A special thank you to the caring staff at Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, Hospice of Windsor and all those providing support at home. If you so desire, donations to the Hospice of Windsor and Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.

Visitation Thursday, May 2, 2019 from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 8 p.m. Funeral Friday, May 3, 2019 leaving in procession from Families First 585 Sandwich St. South, Amherstburg, 519-969-5841 At 10 a.m. to St. John the Baptist Church (225 Brock St., Amherstburg) for the Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Procession to St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
