Obituary for Jean Trepanier (Marentette)

Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 3, 2019 at the age of 95. Cherished wife of 67 years to Wilfred (2017). Loving mother to Gary, Gloria (Kip) Price, Greg (Anne, 2018), and Marianne (Perry) McLean. Beloved Grandma to Stephen, Tiffany (Mark), Michael (Jordan), Michelle (Tony), Katelyn (Jose), and Kristy (Michael). Great-grandma to Melanie, Aubrey, Lucas, Scarlett, Oliver and Baby Corpeno. Predeceased by parents Leo (1961) & Lena (nee Paquette, 1991) Marentette, siblings Lawrence (2017), Douglas (2014), and Orval (2018). Survived by brother Stanley.

Jean was a descendant of a pioneer French strip-farm settler in Windsor. She focused her love and attention on raising her family. Jean enjoyed ceramics, playing cards, square dancing, music, playing piano and was a long time member of St. Gabriel’s Church and the CWL. Jean & Wilf enjoyed group travel with senior groups.

Visitation Friday, May 10, 2019 from 3-5pm and 7-9pm, Parish Prayers at 4:30pm at Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841. On Saturday, May 11, 2019, friends are invited to join the family after 9:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church (4401 Mt. Royal Dr.) followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30am.

Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
