Joan completed her earthly pilgrimage with grace on Monday, May 13, 2019. Former wife of the late William Banfield. Beloved mother of Susan, Annette, and the late Walter. Special Grandma to Nicholaus and Michael Hardcastle and Robert Abaribe. Proud great grandma of Mone’t, Ahshana’e, Nicholaus Jr., Denae, Diante, Julia, and Avery. Predeceased by brothers Victor (England) and Neil (Bahamas) and sisters Cora (Barbados) and Elaine (Barbados). Much loved sisters Barbara (USA), Colleen (Jamaica), Shirley (USA), and Julia (Canada). Joan was an active member of the Salvation Army South Windsor Citadel for many years. She will be lovingly remembered by many dear friends.

On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 a Celebration of Joan’s Life will be held at the Salvation Army South Windsor Citadel, 1201 Grand Marais Rd W, Windsor, at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
