It is with the utmost sadness that we must announce the sudden passing of Maria Madalena Da Rosa Neves on Saturday April 20th, 2019 at Windsor Regional Hospital, Met Campus. Maria was born on July 5, 1937 in Faial, Acores. Predeceased by her parents, Madalena and Manuel Da Rosa, husbands Jose Rogerio Baptista and Jose Mario Neves, and her two sons, Jose Rogerio Baptista (Lucia) and Rogerio Baptista. Maria will be forever loved and missed by her sons Enio (Betty-Ann), Mario (Helia), Jose Maria (Mindy), Ed (Rebecca), Victor (Diane), and her daughters Silvia (Ilidio) and Lisa (Alan). Maria is also survived by her sisters Lucia (Jose) and Maria (Jose). Maria was cherished by her 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her extended family, and her friends and the staff at the Royal Marquis Retirement Residence.

Not only was Maria the Matriarch of our family, she was also a very adored and devoted member of the Portuguese community. The love and adoration Maria had for her family and friends, and the kindness and generosity she showed to everyone, will be her legacy that will live on in all of us. Please join us to honour and celebrate Maria’s life.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 23rd from 3pm-5pm and 7pm-9pm. Parish prayers Tuesday 4:30 pm.

Funeral Wednesday, April 24th, 2019 10:15 am from Families First 3260 Dougall Ave. South Windsor, 519-969-5841 to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for Funeral Mass at 11am.

Interment St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
