Passed away peacefully on May 9, 2019 at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Florence (nee King) for 61 years. Father of Leslie (Bob) Meloche, and Jamie (Susanne) Proulx. Papa to Chelsea (Jesse) Thivierge, Jordan (Michal) Tellos, Megan Proulx, and Giles Meloche. Great Grandfather to Myles and Rylynn Thivierge. Eldest of nine children, survived by Joyce Poisson, Karen (Frank) Paraino, Roger (Joanne) Proulx, Bonnie (Tim) Springfield, Jackie (Steve) Czuper.
Jim was a proud graduate of the Ford Trade School and founder of J.P. Tool Limited. He was an avid golfer and long-time member of Essex Golf and Country Club and Palmas Golf and Country Club. He was proud of having had the fortune to score 5 aces in his lifetime.Jim was a devoted and longtime member of Paulin Memorial Presbyterian Church and Palmas Community Church. Special thanks to all who offered prayer support and to the staff at Windsor Regional Hospital, the Cancer Center, CCAC, Paramed North, St. Elizabeth, and Dr Gary Ing & staff for the wonderful care and support.
