Obituary for Virginia "Ginnie" Nicol

Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on May 10, 2019 at 95 years of age. Beloved wife and sweetheart of the late Jack (2010), with whom she celebrated 58 years of devoted married life. Precious and cherished mother of John Jr. (Nancy) of Fonthill, Ontario, Ann Dahlinger Clincher (Jim) Rochester Hills, Michigan, Thomas (Patricia) of Naples, Florida, Kean, and Mary (William) Leddy. Dearly beloved and devoted Nanna to JT Dahlinger (Megan), Michael Dahlinger (Deanna); Meaghan, Devin; Joshua, Jeffery, McKenzie; Gillian Moore – Nicol; Lyndsey, Trent and Shannon Leddy and Great Nanna of Laiklan. Survived by her brother George Bader Cronin (the late Aileen) of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Predeceased by her parents Mignonne and Kean Cronin. Dear sister of the late Mignonne Braddock, Suzanne Volin and Mary Lou Cronin.

As an active volunteer, Virginia served as president of the Alma Mater Association of St. Mary’s Academy, Holy Names College Alumnae, the Assumption Mother’s Club, the Colony Town Club and the Cancer Loan Closet Foundation of Greater Detroit. Virginia was a board member of the Detroit Society of Medical Technologists, a charter member of Questers Gateway Heirlooms Chapter, a member of the Essex Golf and Country Club, Corpus Christi Catholic Women’s League and Assumption University Alumni.
